The child's parent, guardian, or a school official initiates the process by creating and sending us a referral outlining any concerns about the child's development, learning, and/or behavior.
Upon receiving the referral, we will submit it to the DOE. The parent or guardian will then receive a comprehensive evaluation packet containing everything necessary for the evaluation process.
Our dedicated team assigns the case to one of our professional evaluators, certified in the specific area of concern, who conducts a thorough assessment. Depending on the identified concerns, the evaluation may encompass one or more of the following areas:
Once the evaluation is completed, we will send the written reports with the results to the CPSE, who will then schedule an IEP (Individualized Education Plan) meeting to discuss, with the family, teachers, and all are concerned, to discuss, the eligibility, frequency and the duration of the of services to be provided.
Following the meeting, the DOE will assign the child's case to a specific agency who will facilitate the mandated services.
